Subjects Studied:

In 2012 I gained AAA in English Literature, Film Studies and Art, and B in Government and Politics. I also gained an A* in my Extended Project Qualification.

Why King Edward’s?

I completed a ‘fast track’ A Level course in Critical Thinking whilst still studying GCSEs at my school. Everything I did and everything I saw whilst at King Edward’s studying this course confirmed King Edward’s was the place for me. I applied, was accepted, and never looked back.

Outside lessons, what did you most enjoy?

I enjoyed ‘Book Club’ (reading and talking about books) so much during my first year at college that I took over the running of this club during my final year, fantastic.  I also enjoyed helping to develop short films about college life, students viewed these via the college website and they were an instant hit

Where next?

I’ve just started at Oxford University where I’m reading English Language and Literature at Mansfield College.

How do you think coming to King Edward’s has helped you most?

My tutors – especially English tutors – have been fantastic. They convinced me I was good enough to apply to Oxford and helped with advice and encouragement at every step of the journey. I’d never considered Oxford before coming to King Edward’s.

What words of advice would you offer new students about to start at the college?

Never limit yourself, always strive for the best.  When joining the college make sure you pick the subjects you genuinely love, that way you will want to work at them and not get bored.
