Subjects Studied:

In 2012 I gained A*A*AAA in General Studies, my Extended Project Qualification, Biology, Chemistry, and Maths.

What other college activities were you involved in?

Lots! I really enjoyed being part of a small team helping to create online podcasts for other students, completing voluntary work organised through the college and successfully completing my Bronze Medallion and my Royal Life Saving Award.

Why King Edward’s?

I attended an Open Day and realised the students here shared the same passion and enthusiasm for learning that I had. Even though it was a long way to travel I just knew this was where I wanted to spend the next two years of my life.

What have you most enjoyed whilst at college?

Apart from all the other students, I’d have to say being a member of the Medical, Dentistry & Veterinary Ethics Society. The debates were great and this really helped my university application for Dentistry, perhaps the most competitive degree course in the UK.

Where next?

I’ve just started a degree in Dentistry at Birmingham University.  The links King Edward’s has with Birmingham University meant I was able to network with the university tutors and students during my final year at college, I meant I became eligible for a bursary and now have all my university fees paid for by one of the leading international banks.

Career aim?

Paediatric or Community Dentistry

How do you think coming to KE has helped you most?

Coming to KE has helped me to develop skills both academic and non-academic that I need to face the future.

What words or phrases would you use to describe King Edward’s?

Enthusiastic, dedicated & there is a place for everyone!
