Pastoral Support

Our student support team take pride in the high quality of the personalised advice, guidance and the support they offer.

HE students will have regular one-to-one tutorial meetings during which they will be able to discuss all aspects of their course and their progress.

This one-to-one support is central to our teaching programme and ensures that all students will be provided with carefully tailored advice and guidance about their studies.

Learning Support

One of the ways we can help you succeed is by offering learning support. A range of support is available to students with a disability which may affect their learning. This could include:

  • specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia
  • sensory impairment (e.g. visual, hearing)
  • physical disabilities
  • difficulties in learning associated with mental health problems

The type of study support you may require will depend on your individual needs however some examples of support available can include:

  • learning support in literacy, numeracy and study skills
  • special equipment and aids (e.g. hearing loop, large print)
  • access arrangements for external examinations (e.g. extra time,  scribe, word processor)
  • support from a Learning Support Assistant

Our Curriculum Support team are here to provide extra help if and when you need it.
