Introduction

As one of the largest A Level Music providers in the area, King Edward’s attracts excellent musicians from across the West Midlands.

This concentration of talented performers means that we have many excellent ensembles both big and small in a variety of styles. These include two choirs, symphony orchestra, string orchestra, wind band, folk band, soul band, a cappella and many other small groups. Music and non-music students are equally welcome to take part – whatever your musical taste, there will be something to get involved in.

The King Edward's Music Society, which is made up of a committee of students and staff, helps to run our music enrichment, including having oversight of a number of smaller student-led groups.

All our music enrichment, including the large ensembles, are timetabled into the college day, so our students, who come from far and wide, do not have to stay after college for rehearsals.

You can hear some of our ensembles performing by going to our Music Pages.
