Staff and students at King Edward VI College in Stourbridge are celebrating this year's results, with more than 900 students gaining excellent A-level grades.

With an overall pass rate of 98.8% and an A* - C pass rate of 82%, the headline results are well above national averages. In addition, the college boasts a 100% pass rate in 22 subjects.

Many students celebrated top grades across the board, with 88 students gaining three or more A*/A grades and 25 students achieving two or more of the coveted top A* grades.

Outstanding individual performances included the following ten students, who all gained four or more A*/A grades:

  • Cameron Parkes (The Wordsley School)
  • Oliver Tonks (Baxter College)
  • Yik Ming Wong (Overseas)

Reflecting on today's results, King Ed's principal Remley Mann said: "I want to congratulate all of our students on their excellent results -A I am delighted to see so many bright young people achieve their ambitions.
