Could you help support King Edward VI College by becoming a parent governor?

The Board of Governors will have a vacancy on 1 May 2017 for a parent governor to join them for a period of 2 years.

This is a challenging, but rewarding role as governors are responsible for ensuring the quality of provision at the college and its financial sustainability.

Ruth Waterhouse was appointed as the parent governor in May 2015 and says that:

"I found my time as a governor at king Edwards rewarding, fulfilling and enjoyable. My fellow governors were always supportive, helpful and approachable. I enjoyed watching students develop into confident young adults, and always found student productions particularly enjoyable. The annual Governor away day is an informal event and I found this to be educational and informative. I would say been a parent governor is very satisfying and would recommend it to parents who are interested".
