Talented textiles student Leonie Edmead (Queen Mary's High School) has won a national competition to design a print for a bag. The competition was a joint project between the charity "War Child" and the handbag designer Sienna Jones, wherein students were challenged to produce a design based on one of War Child's core objectives: "empowerment of children affected by conflict".

Leonie's design (pictured above) will be produced by Sienna Jones as a limited edition tote bag and will be featured during this autumn and winter's London Fashion Week. As winner of the competition, Leonie will be presented with a copy of her limited edition bag, as well as 2 VIP tickets to London Fashion Week and the opportunity to spend some time with the Sienna Jones brand and visit London for press and publicity.

All proceeds from Leonie's bag will support War Child's work in delivering child protection, education and hope for a better future in conflict-affected countries.
